Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients - Serves 4

3 bananas
1 pint of milk
2 scoops of vanilla ice-cream

Method

1) Peel the bananas and slice roughly
2) Blitz all ingredients in a blender
3) Pour the mixture into glasses and enjoy!

Allison's vegetable soup

Ingredients - Serves 4

1 onion
2 carrots
1 leek

Small can of sweetcorn
2 medium size potatoes
2 pints of vegetable stock
1/2 pint of milk 1 tbsp olive oil

Method

1) Peel and roughly chop the onion
2) Scrub and slice the carrots
3) Peel the potatoes and cut into small chunks
4) Heat the oil in a saucepan (careful, hot oil can be dangerous) and sautee the onion over a medium heat for 4 minutes. Keep stirring!
5) Add the carrots, leek and potatoes and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring regularly.
6) Add stock and bring to the boil.
7) Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover with a lid and cook for 20 minutes.
8) Pour the mixture into a blender, blitz until smoooth and season with salt and pepper.
9) Drain sweetcorn and add to mixture, add milk and stir well.
